Job Role - Music Teacher (Vocal / Instrumental)

🎵 Eligibility Criteria — Music Teacher (Vocal / Instrumental)

🎓 1. Educational Qualifications (Essential)

- Bachelor’s Degree in Music (B.Mus) OR
- Master’s Degree in Music (M.Mus) OR
- Sangeet Visharad / equivalent recognised certification OR
- Degree/Diploma in Performing Arts (Music)

🎼 2. Professional Training

Candidate should have formal training in one or more:

- Classical (Hindustani or Carnatic) Vocal
- Western Vocal
- Instrumental Music (Keyboard, Guitar, Tabla, Violin, etc.)
- Choir training / ensemble direction
- Music theory and notation

Preference for candidates who can teach both theory and practical.

🏫 3. Teaching Qualification (Preferred)

- B.Ed. in Music / Education (desirable but not mandatory)
- Diploma in Music Education or Teacher Training

👩 🏫 4. Experience

- 1–3 years teaching experience in a school OR

Preferred

- Experience conducting school assemblies, events, competitions
- Experience preparing students for stage performances
- Experience with school curriculum requirements

🎤 5. Required Skills & Competencies

Candidate should be able to:

- Train students for performances, competitions, and functions
- Conduct choir or group singing
- Prepare students for annual day, celebrations, etc.
- Teach rhythm, pitch, and basic theory
- Maintain discipline in activity classes
- Play at least one accompanying instrument (keyboard/guitar preferred)

💻 6. Technical & Additional Skills (Preferred)

- Knowledge of digital music tools or audio systems
- Ability to handle microphones, speakers, school PA system
- Basic computer skills for recordings and presentations
- Ability to compose easy school songs or arrangements

👶 7. Personal Qualities

- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Good voice quality and stage confidence
- Strong classroom management skills
- Team player for school events
