Job Purpose

To lead and manage the functions of Management Information Systems (MIS), Budgeting, and Costing in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, and strategic planning support through data-driven insights and effective budget management.

Key Responsibilities
  • MIS (Management Information System):

  •  Design, implement, and manage MIS frameworks for daily/weekly/monthly operational and financial reporting.

     Automate reports and dashboards using Excel/Power BI/ERP tools to support real time decision-making.

     Collaborate with production, procurement, stores, sales, and HR departments to ensure accurate data inputs.

     Ensure timely dissemination of critical performance indicators to management.

     Validate data integrity across reports and systems for consistency and accuracy.

     Analyze trends and generate actionable insights for business improvement.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:

  •  Coordinate and prepare annual budgets in collaboration with all departments.

     Track and monitor actual vs. budgeted performance on a monthly basis.

     Identify variances and analyze root causes; prepare monthly budget variance reports.

     Support rolling forecasts and scenario-based financial modeling.

     Provide financial inputs during strategic planning and business reviews.

     Manage cash flow planning and working capital forecasting.
  • Costing:

 Maintain and update standard costing structures for all products and processes.

 Conduct monthly cost variance analysis (standard vs actual).

 Monitor material consumption, process losses, and efficiency trends.

 Prepare cost sheets for new and existing products, including overhead allocations.

 Conduct cost audits and identify potential areas for cost reduction.

 Collaborate with production and procurement teams to drive cost optimization projects.

Key Skills & Competencies

 In-depth knowledge of costing, budgeting, and MIS reporting in a manufacturing environment.

 Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Proficiency in using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

 Excellent communication and coordination abilities across departments.

 Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications & Experience

 ACCA/ CMA (ICWAI) with specialization in Costing & MIS.

 6–10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry.

 Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and MIS reporting.

 Timeliness and accuracy of MIS reports and dashboards.

 Budget adherence and variance tracking effectiveness.

 Efficiency in cost control and reduction measures.

 Quality of financial analysis and support provided to leadership.
