Brief Description

The position is responsible for providing comprehensive Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) support across India business units. The role involves developing and implementing safety strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, conducting audits, managing permits, and fostering a proactive safety culture. It also includes training, incident investigation, and supporting international certifications like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Job Description (JD)

• Provide overall EHS support to the business units in collaboration with corporate and local business unit leaders.
• Develop and implement a safety-oriented strategy and measure, report and achieve key metric goals.
• Develop specific EHS objectives and create actions plans to meet those objectives.
• Maintain, review and report on EHS performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as required.
• Manage and respond to local country EHS audits and inspections.
• Obtain, maintain and comply with all regulatory required EHS permits, certificates, consents and documents.
• Create a proactive approach to EHS through cross functional cooperation, communication and training.
• Develop, deliver and/or coordinate EHS training and training tools.
• Integrate and partner with business leaders to promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct internal EHS audits to ensure regulatory compliance (Factories Department / TSPCB / Fire / Ground Water / EPR etc.).
• Develop, implement and manage site-specific EHS programs to ensure regulatory and corporate standards are effectively integrated into standard operating procedures.
• Develop new hire orientation outlining Regal Rexnord’s high expectations regarding EHS regulations.
• Implement a consistent incident investigation process utilizing “5-Why” root cause analysis and ensure appropriate countermeasures are properly identified to prevent reoccurrence.
• Assist in the development or deployment of a behavior-based safety program.
• Ensure timely coordination of all regulatory or Regal Rexnord required testing and training is completed, including industrial hygiene testing.
• Provide support for the attainment and management of international accreditations (ISO 14001 & 45001).

Job Specification: (Education, Training and Experience)

• 12 - 15 years of experience managing EHS in a manufacturing environment and minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory capacity. Preferably from Engineering Industry.
• Candidate must hold an Engineering Degree
• One year Safety Certification Course from SBTET is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s / master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in occupational safety, environmental science or a closely related field.
• Certifications like NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong record showing demonstrated success in partnering with key business leaders in managing and improving overall EHS performance.
• Must have exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including a high degree of judgment, diplomacy and ability to influence others.
• Must possess a theoretical and practical knowledge of India regulatory standards.
• High knowledge of current safety and loss control practices is essential.

Incumbent will be appointed on the rolls of Euroflex Transmissions India Private Limited.
