Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Primary Design of GIS & AIS Substations (220kV to 400kV). The candidate should have strong expertise in detailed engineering, equipment sizing, grounding design, and layout preparation in compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Bid Engineering

• Review tender documents & client technical specifications
• Prepare conceptual layouts, SLDs & equipment arrangement drawings
• Develop preliminary BOQ & equipment sizing
• Provide technical inputs for estimation & bid submissions
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical compliance
• Identify technical risks and value engineering opportunities

Detailed Engineering & Execution

Preparation of:

• Overall Equipment Layout (OEL) GIS & AIS
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD) & Protection SLD
• LVAC & DC Distribution System SLD
• Earthing layout & grounding calculations
• DSLP calculations & layouts
• Busbar sizing & short circuit force calculations
• Cable sizing, routing & termination schedules
• CT/VT sizing calculations
• Battery, Charger & UPS sizing
• Indoor/Outdoor/Road Lighting calculations
• Equipment foundation layouts

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform clearance studies as per IEC/IEEE/IS standards
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, CEA codes
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, BIM, Protection, SCADA & Telecom teams
• Participate in client meetings & technical design reviews

Technical Requirements

• Experience in HV/EHV Substations (220kV400kV)
• Strong knowledge of GIS & AIS Substation design
• Software proficiency:
• AutoCAD
• ETAP
• DIALux
• CDEGS / SIMGRID / AutoGrid Pro
• Knowledge of SCMS & SCADA integration
• Understanding of Power System Studies & Protection Schemes
