Course Overview

This course introduces students to the mathematical foundations essential for data science, focusing on Linear Algebra and Calculus concepts used in analytics, machine learning, and computational modeling.

The course will build strong conceptual understanding while connecting mathematical principles to real-world applications in data analysis, optimization, and machine learning.

The teaching approach should emphasize clear conceptual explanation, structured problem solving, and practical applications relevant to data science. Students should complete the course with the ability to understand and apply key mathematical tools used in modern data science workflows.

• Faculty will be expected to:
