Urban Innovation Lab (UIL) is a boutique advisory and consulting firm working with government institutions, development agencies, and public sector organizations across India. We support public programs, infrastructure initiatives, and institutional projects through advisory, research, and implementation support.
As UIL expands its work in Madhya Pradesh, we are looking for a Liaisoning Officer based in Bhopal who will act as our local point of contact for government engagement and coordination.
Role Overview
The Liaisoning Officer will be responsible for building and managing relationships with government stakeholders, supporting business development efforts, and facilitating coordination for ongoing engagements.
This role requires someone with strong local networks, credibility within government systems, and the ability to navigate administrative processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Government Relationship Management
- Build and maintain professional relationships with government officials, public sector institutions, and relevant authorities in Bhopal and across Madhya Pradesh.
- Represent UIL in meetings, discussions, and official interactions with government stakeholders.
- Maintain regular engagement with key contacts to support UIL's ongoing and future work.
Opportunity Tracking & Business Support
- Track government announcements, tenders, consultations, and potential engagement opportunities relevant to UIL's areas of work.
- Facilitate introductions and meetings between UIL leadership and government stakeholders.
- Provide on-ground intelligence on government priorities, initiatives, and upcoming opportunities.
Project Coordination
- Act as the local coordination point for UIL's engagements with government institutions in Bhopal.
- Support documentation, submissions, follow-ups, and meeting coordination where required.
- Ensure smooth communication between UIL's project teams and government counterparts.
Relationship Stewardship
- Maintain strong relationships with existing government clients and institutional partners.
- Support ongoing engagements by ensuring timely coordination and follow-ups.
- Help reinforce UIL's professional reputation and credibility with stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Strong professional network within government and public sector ecosystem in Bhopal.
- Prior experience in government liaisoning, coordination, or institutional engagement.
- Good understanding of administrative processes and working culture within government systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and result-oriented with ability to work independently.
Experience & Qualifications
Preferred:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in liaisoning, government relations, consulting support, or public sector coordination.
- Experience interacting with government departments, public institutions, or development programs.
- Graduate degree in management, public administration, engineering, planning, or related disciplines.
