Role Overview

The Senior Manager – Leadership Development Trainer will design, implement, and evaluate and implement leadership development programs that build organizational capability and support the leadership pipeline at Air India SATS.

The role will drive leadership capability through structured programs such as First Time Manager Development, LEAD (for middle management), and Elevate (for senior leadership) and more. The incumbent will partner closely with senior leaders to identify development needs and create learning solutions that accelerate leadership readiness across the organization as an end-to-end program.

This role requires strong expertise in leadership facilitation, coaching, digital learning content creation, and psychometric-based development interventions. The individual will work closely with the Learning & Talent Management team, HR leadership, and Business Unit Heads to strengthen leadership capability across AISATS stations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implement comprehensive leadership development programs across different leadership levels, including first-time managers, middle managers, and senior leaders.
  • Facilitate high-impact leadership workshops, development labs, action-learning projects and experiential learning interventions.
  • Lead the execution and continuous enhancement of internal leadership initiatives such as First Time Manager programs, LEAD, and Elevate.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to assess leadership capability gaps and determine development priorities.
  • Create and manage digital learning content, microlearning modules, and leadership resources on the organization’s LMS using tools such as Canva and other digital platforms.
  • Administer and interpret leadership and psychometric assessments to support development journeys.
  • Manage external vendors including training providers, executive coaches, and assessment partners.
  • Oversee program logistics, budgets, and administrative aspects of leadership development initiatives.
  • Measure program effectiveness and evaluate behavioral and business impact of leadership interventions.
  • Stay current with leadership development trends, learning technologies, and industry best practices.

  • EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field

    RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • 5–10 years of experience in Learning & Development, Leadership Development, or Talent Development roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating leadership development programs end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to facilitate workshops for managerial and senior leadership audiences.
  • Experience designing and implementing leadership development frameworks or management development programs.
  • Exposure to aviation, hospitality, or service-oriented industries will be preferred.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.

  • PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONs

    For a successful role, s/he should have at least two of the following certifications:-
  • ICF Certified Coach (ACC / PCC)
  • Situational Leadership II (SL-II) Certification
  • Certifications in psychometric assessments (e.g., MBTI, DISC, Hogan, TKI, etc.)
  • Certifications in Instructional Design, Leadership Facilitation, or Executive Coaching will be an advantage
