About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Structural Engineer with strong core expertise in steel structure design and a growing focus on computational and parametric workflows. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines hands-on structural design experience with a data-driven mindset, contributing to efficient, adaptable, and code-compliant building systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed structural design and analysis of steel structures for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Design structural systems in accordance with U.S. building codes and standards, ensuring safety, efficiency, and constructability.
  • Develop and review structural calculations, connection designs, and construction documents.
  • Collaborate closely with architectural and MEP teams to ensure integrated and coordinated building designs.
  • Support the development of parametric and rule-based structural models that adapt to changes in geometry and loading.
  • Utilize Excel-based tools for calculations, optimization, and design automation.
  • Assist in implementing computational workflows using parametric design tools (e.g., Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python) where applicable.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance on steel design best practices.

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from premium college.
  • 6+ years of core structural design experience with a strong focus on steel structures.
  • Proven experience delivering U.S.-based projects, with knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AISC, ASCE 7, IBC).
  • Hands-on experience in residential and building-scale structural design.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
  • Working knowledge of Excel for structural calculations and design workflows.
  • Exposure to parametric or computational design methodologies.

  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience of design of high rise steel structures.
  • Experience with Excel VBA.
  • Familiarity with BIM environments (e.g., Revit, Tekla).
  • Experience automating repetitive structural calculations or workflows using spreadsheets or scripts.
  • Exposure to integrated digital design or performance-driven structural modeling.
