Remote · Unpaid · Part‑time founding role About Venture Launcher Venture Launcher is an early‑stage startup building a platform that connects startups and investors through AI‑driven matchmaking, prediction models, and a community layer around fundraising and deal flow. We already have two UI/UX designers working on the web app and marketing surfaces. Now we’re looking for a Lead Product Designer who can own the overall product experience and guide the existing designers.
Role: Lead / Founding Product Designer You will be responsible for product UX vision, structure, and quality across the web app, while mentoring and directing two designers. This is an unpaid, part‑time founding role for someone who wants to shape a 0→1 product and lead a small design team. What you’ll do Own end‑to‑end UX for the platform: onboarding, profiles, deal views, AI‑matching results, search, filters, dashboards, and community surfaces.
Lead and mentor the two existing designers: review their work, give feedback, and ensure consistency and quality across screens.
Define and maintain the design system (components, tokens, grids, interaction patterns) used by the whole team.
Run or oversee user research and usability tests, and use insights to drive product decisions.
Collaborate closely with the founder and developers to break down problems, scope UX, and support smooth handoff. What we’re looking for 3–6 years in UI/UX or product design with shipped products (SaaS / fintech / marketplace / dashboards is a plus).
Experience leading or mentoring other designers (design reviews, patterns, structured feedback).
Strong Figma skills: components, variants, auto‑layout, prototyping, and design systems.
Portfolio with 3–4 strong case studies showing complex flows, dashboards/internal tools, and transparent impact.
Comfortable in an early‑stage startup: fast iteration, ambiguity, and working directly with the founder. What you’ll get Lead ownership of the product UX, with two designers to support you.
