About the Company

We are looking for an innovative Electrical Engineering Lead who combines deep technical expertise in electrical and low-voltage systems with a strong understanding of computational and parametric design methods. This role leads the evolution of intelligent, adaptive electrical systems that align with building form, use, and performance.

About the Role

This role leads the evolution of intelligent, adaptive electrical systems that align with building form, use, and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of power distribution, lighting, controls, and low-voltage systems in building projects from concept to execution.
  • Develop parametric electrical system models that adjust automatically to changes in building geometry, occupancy, and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with computational designers and software developers to codify design logic into scalable, rule-based frameworks.
  • Integrate energy modelling, lighting simulations, and load balancing tools into a parametric design environment.
  • Ensure seamless interoperability between design, documentation, and performance analytics tools (Revit, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Python).
  • Define and manage data structures linking electrical components to architectural and mechanical models in BIM or digital twin contexts.
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide the integration of smart systems, IoT, and automation principles into electrical design workflows.

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in building electrical systems design — including lighting, power, and low-voltage networks.
  • Strong command of BIM tools and computational modeling environments (Revit API, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python).
  • Strong understanding of US electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IES, IEEE).
  • Solid understanding of power distribution, load calculations, and lighting performance design.
  • Proven experience coordinating electrical design within integrated, multidisciplinary teams.

  • Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to smart grid systems, AI-assisted load optimization, or digital twin implementations.
  • Familiarity with parametric lighting control models or simulation-based design automation.
  • Experience developing or integrating computational workflows for large-scale electrical systems.
  • Track record of successfully delivering data-driven or parametric electrical design on built projects.
