Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Jacquard Designer to join our design studio. The ideal candidate will assist in creating jacquard designs for sarees, converting patterns into loom-ready files, and collaborating with the production team to ensure seamless execution on rapier looms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and develop jacquard fabric designs using CAD software (Arahne or Nedgraphics or similar).
• Translate traditional and contemporary motifs into weave-ready patterns.
• Work closely with the senior designer and design head to develop seasonal collections.
• Prepare loom cards and weaving instructions for the production team.
• Ensure designs align with the company’s quality, color, and texture standards.
• Assist in sampling, color matching, and weave structure development.
• Maintain design archives and technical files for future reference.
• Collaborate with weaving, dyeing, and finishing teams for timely execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Design, Weaving Technology, or related field (B.Des preferred).
• Knowledge of jacquard weaving principles and fabric structures.
• Proficiency in textile CAD software (Arahne, NedGraphics, or similar).
• Strong sense of color, texture, and fabric aesthetics.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for textile innovation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with rapier loom operations and jacquard card punching.
• Understanding of traditional Indian textile motifs and saree design trends.
• Basic knowledge of yarn types, weaving defects, and finishing processes.
