Job Description

Graduate engineer with relevent experience in Time study, VA / NVA analysis, CT and Line Balancing . Exposure in relevent software applications . VSM . ERGO studies. CT Improvement tasks. ISO audits

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering

- Lead in development of New Program Capacity Strategy including Operating Patterns and line Cycle Time targets, as directed following the capacity strategy
- Determine launch curves to suit program deliverables and build ahead plans (if applicable) for New Model Programs to develop launch cost.
- Lead development of direct / indirect / salaried labour staffing plans to meet program labour and HPU targets and maintain through unit FSR.
- Develop 5-year labour glidepath as required following Labor Glidepath Procedure
- Represent Power train function for all labour discussions for recent programs and provide labour glide path documentation.
- Establish and submit program funding for supplemental IE purchased services.
- Provide Industrial Engineering support for New Program delivery.
- Support Simulation Strategy for New Program Delivery.
- Submit Engineered JPH re-rates for New Programs and support Plant Submissions for change Post Job 1 as required
- Support overall manufacturing launch processes and program reporting metrics (GPDS, 10 panel, program reviews, dashboards, GSPAS, etc.).
- Responsible for line labour planning to meet program demand (Lead for Machining and Assembly) , report labour tracking status including WERS concerns, Q forms, and Off Standard Labor.
- Establish and implement global common practices for Industrial Engineering within Manufacturing E including: Labor PAT, HPU Target Setting, JPH and HPU Reporting, Workstation assessments.
- Use [Global Study Process Allocation System] GSPAS to develop APT Structure, Allocations and Time Studies for machining and assembly. Overall Global Industrial Engineering GSPAS leadership.
- Support the Global IE Standards team to develop and update IE standards including training and quality documents listed below. Lead the supporting processes, documentation and continuous improvement of these documents.

- Bench marking
- Capacity / Buffer
- Interface with Global Capacity Planning for all new program cycle plan capacity planning including assessing the Plant Get Ready Submissions.
- Document, audit and govern Engineered JPH metrics and database for all powertrain programs and plants globally.
- Benchmark new programs and current operations. Utilize continuous improvement methods to lower labour costs and increase capacity utilization.
- Lead Power train manufacturing engineering labour benchmarking activities and lead interface with business partners (Other Global Industrial Engineering groups and
- Subject Matter Expert for Labor.

Must be familiar in Engine machining and assembly process

Able to do MODAPS study and work with team to establish CT and line balancing to achieve desired JPH and CT

Work on lessons learnt and KPAC

Continuously identify waste in the system and take /propose actions to improve – Innovation projects

Meet program deliverables as per millstone

Support Plant on kaizen activities

Ability to use AI and ML to optimise the work.

Qualifications

Graduate and above with relevent technical expertise.
