Position: Industrial Chemical Sales Manager

Location: India (Domestic Market)

Reporting To: Director / Business Head

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Industrial Chemical Sales professional responsible for marketing and selling imported industrial chemicals in the domestic market. The candidate will be responsible for business development, customer acquisition, market expansion, and sales growth across industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, rubber, plastics, coatings, and manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development
  • Identify and develop new customers and market opportunities for imported industrial chemicals in India.
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and industrial clients.
  • Generate new leads through market visits, industry networking, and digital platforms.

  • 2. Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Promote and sell imported chemicals to industries such as:
  • Petrochemical
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Rubber & Tyre
  • Plastics & Polymers
  • Paint & Coatings
  • Adhesives & Construction chemicals

  • 3. Import Coordination
  • Work closely with procurement/import teams for sourcing chemicals from international suppliers.
  • Coordinate for pricing, documentation, shipment tracking, and delivery timelines.

  • 4. Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Handle product inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and order closures.
  • Provide technical product information and support to customers.

  • 5. Market Intelligence
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, pricing trends, and demand patterns.
  • Provide market feedback to management for strategic decision making.

  • 6. Order Management
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from inquiry to payment collection.
  • Coordinate with logistics and accounts teams for smooth delivery and payment follow-ups.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Science / Business Administration.
  • MBA in Marketing will be an advantage.

  • Experience
  • 5 – 12 years experience in Industrial Chemical Sales / Specialty Chemical Sales / Petrochemical Sales.
  • Experience in imported chemicals trading or distribution will be preferred.
