Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Indexing Trainee in our publishing department, based in Chennai. The Indexing Trainee will be responsible for analyzing and indexing content, tagging relevant keywords, and ensuring quality and consistency in metadata. The role involves working with various content types, performing quality checks, collaborating with team members, and adhering to deadlines. Training will be provided to help you develop domain-specific indexing skills.

• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and organize content effectively for indexing purposes
• Attention to Detail: Focus on maintaining accuracy and consistency in tagging and metadata creation
• Proficiency in Language: Excellent command of written English, grammar, and vocabulary
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with content tagging systems, publishing workflows, or willingness to learn quickly
• Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Library Science, Linguistics, or a related field
• Learning Attitude: Willingness to undergo training, adapt to new technologies, and develop domain-specific expertise
