As an Imports Manager at AAFL, your role will involve developing and executing import strategies to source fresh produce, particularly apples, from international markets. This includes ensuring alignment with AAFL's quality standards and business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing end-to-end import operations, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, shipping logistics, and customs clearance.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with international suppliers, shipping agents, and customs officials to ensure timely and cost-effective imports.
Monitoring global market trends, shipping routes, and pricing dynamics to identify opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation.
Collaborating with the cold chain infrastructure team to ensure imported produce is seamlessly integrated into AAFL's Controlled Atmosphere storage facilities.
Ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, shipping documentation, and import compliance requirements.
Analyzing import data and generating actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and reduce lead times.
Working closely with the Marketing & Sales team to align import schedules with distribution network demands and seasonal market trends.
Leveraging technology and analytics tools to optimize import operations and enhance decision-making processes.
Supporting AAFL's strategic initiatives to expand its portfolio by identifying potential import opportunities for other fruits and vegetables.

Qualifications & Experience required for this role include:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
Strong understanding of fresh food supply chains, international markets, and import/export operations.
Proven experience in managing shipping routes, customs clearance, and C&F operations is preferred.
Advanced certifications in import/export management or logistics are preferred.

This position is suitable for individuals with 02 years of experience in import/export operations, international logistics, or supply chain management. Exposure to fresh produce supply chains and cold chain logistics is highly desirable.
