Urgent job opening for **Import / Export Manager at Andheri location.**

- *About company:** This is an essential oil manufacturing, trading, and distribution companies in India. This cater to many industries like, pharmaceuticals, food and flavors, Fragrances, home care, personal care, skin care, etc. We are 25+ year old company having manufacturing set ups and having clients spread across India and the globe.

- Leads inventory installations/reorganizations
- Manage various external relationships with freight forwarders, CHA, express carriers, hardware manufacturers, warehouses, and suppliers
- Efficiently communicate with global partners and engagement managers regarding the status of various shipping requests and orders via email and phone communication.
- Communication with Suppliers and customers on logistics and documentation.
- Process project related enquiries with shipping lines/overseas agents branches for cargo.
- Obtain competitive rates with an aim to secure business from various destinations and agents network (Imports and exports)
- Send complete and precise quotation to client along with Terms and conditions that protect companys interest
- Filing of rates with shipping carriers and overseas agents for both import and export
- Import coordination with agents/carriers for import shipments till pre alert export shipment till rates filing and bookings released by shipping carrier
- Port and warehouse and other locations of interest visits as and when required
- Must have knowledge of custom laws and import policy with good liaison skills.
- Creating export documentation, checking import documents for shipments, coordinating with suppliers for plant and quarantine related documents, CITES related documents, COO related documents, CAROTAR related documents, etc.
- Thorough Import Documentation experience with a Clearing and Freight forwarding company.
- Coordinating with the transporter and arranging to obtain quotes.
- *Abilities and skills required**:
- Any Graduation/Commerce background or Post Graduation with Minimum 7 year management experience in logistics or supply chain functional area such as importation, demand planning, freight forward & brokerage, clearing agency & forward agency, Manufacturing industry experience will be preferred but not a must
- Solid understanding of the market conditions and trends
- Good analysis and summarizing ability process thinking
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communications skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language
- Demonstrated success in exceeding business targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
- Knowledge of COO, export documentation, international trade agreements, trade bodies.
- Experience in handling, Plant and quarantine, FSSAI regulations for import, CITES related queries.
- Understanding of export/import regulations of India and World Trade bodies.
- Working knowledge of CAROTAR related policies.
- Understanding of SEZ policies, locations, operating systems and other foreign trade policies of govt.
