Job Description: IBDP Teacher

Location: Ansal Sushant Golf City, Lucknow

Position Overview:

The IBDP Teacher will be responsible for teaching and fostering an environment that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan and deliver the IBDP curriculum in accordance with the International Baccalaureate standards.
  • Provide high-quality, engaging lessons that integrate practical laboratory work, theoretical knowledge, and inquiry-based learning.

  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Prepare and assess internal assessments (IAs), oral presentations, written reports, and laboratory work in line with IBDP assessment guidelines.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments to monitor and track student progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their assignments, projects, and assessments.

  • Student Support and Mentoring:
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that encourages scientific curiosity and inquiry.
  • Mentor students in their Extended Essay (EE) projects related to the subject.

  • Professional Development:
  • Stay up-to-date with IBDP curriculum changes, educational best practices, and advancements in science teaching.
  • Participate in faculty and professional development meetings, workshops, and IB workshops.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements, including participation in parent-teacher conferences.

  • Eligibility & Qualifications
  • Graduate / Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed / PGCE / equivalent).
  • IB Category Training (Category 1 / 2 / 3) in DP – is a prerequisite.
  • Prior IB classroom teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IB pedagogy, assessment practices, and learner-centred instruction.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and reflective practice skills.
