Role Overview

We're seeking an enthusiastic and creative IB Music Teacher to design and facilitate music education for Early Years and Primary Years Programme (PYP) students. You'll help children explore rhythm, melody, movement, and expression while connecting music to broader concepts and real-life experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based music lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
• Introduce students to a variety of musical styles, instruments, and cultural traditions
• Foster creativity, collaboration, and self-expression through music
• Integrate music with transdisciplinary units and real-world themes
• Organize performances, recitals, and music showcases
• Assess student progress through observation, reflection, and portfolio development
• Collaborate with homeroom teachers and the PYP team to support holistic learning
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and joyful music learning environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or related field (required)
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (IB PYP experience strongly preferred)
• Understanding of inquiry-based and child-centered learning
• Proficiency in multiple musical instruments and vocal training
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Passion for working with young children and fostering creativity
• IB certification or willingness to complete official IB training
