Role Overview

Fountainhead School is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Human Resource Executive – Payroll to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing, statutory compliance, and HR operations, along with the ability to handle employee payroll queries accurately and confidentially.

This role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining accurate payroll records, and coordinating closely with internal departments to ensure timely and error-free salary disbursement. The HR Executive – Payroll will play a crucial role in maintaining trust, transparency, and efficiency in HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing including salary computation, deductions, incentives, arrears, and final settlements.
  • Ensure accurate processing of attendance, leave, late marks, and overtime data as per school policies.
  • Handle statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, and related filings.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll reports, salary registers, payslips, and MIS reports.
  • Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, tax, and payroll policies.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounts teams for payroll disbursement and reconciliations.
  • Process full and final settlements for exiting employees.
  • Maintain payroll data and employee records in HRIS with high accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support audits, inspections, and documentation related to payroll and compliance.
  • Assist in policy implementation and HR reporting as required.

  • Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll management or HR operations (experience in the education sector preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and labour laws.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll software, Excel, and Google Workspace tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle employee payroll concerns professionally.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to meet strict deadlines.

    7:35 AM to 4:20 PM (Monday to Saturday)
