Hotel Compliance and Finance Manager

As a Compliance Manager at our hotel, your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day Accounting function, assisting the Cluster Director of Finance in providing financial leadership and direction to the Finance team. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation and analysis of financial reports and reconciliations
- Internal and external reporting
- Budgeting/forecasting
- Audit and control
- Asset and liability reconciliation
- Working capital and cash control

To qualify for this position, you should have:
- Full/part-qualified accounting qualification or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or University; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hotel accounting experience is essential, operational experience is also preferred
- Skills in Hotel Operational Finance, Numeracy, Computer Skills (particularly in Excel and preferably Opera, PeopleSoft, Micros), Reading Comprehension, Writing, Economics and Accounting, Management of Financial Resources, Analytical/Critical Thinking, Administration and Management, and Purchasing and Materials Management.

As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for achieving business results by supporting strategies and conducting activities to drive financial results, guest satisfaction, human capital index, and market share. You will also be involved in managing day-to-day Accounting operations, developing annual business plans, budgets, forecasts, financial reports, tax compliance, and profit and loss statements.

Additionally, you will be expected to:
- Meet report delivery deadlines
- Verify P&L accuracy
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Achieve and exceed goals
- Conduct strategic planning and decision making
- Manage projects and policies
- Conduct human resource activities
