Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on product leader who will work closely with the Executive Director to drive product innovation, build new solutions (including SaaS platforms), and manage the lifecycle of existing offerings. This role combines product strategy, engineering coordination, business understanding, and execution ownership. The ideal candidate will act as a mini-CEO for all products, owning everything from ideation to commercialization and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Development
  • Work closely with leadership to define and execute the product roadmap for Pune Gas
  • Identify opportunities to build innovative solutions for LPG & Natural Gas users
  • Lead the development of custom B2B SaaS platforms for industrial and commercial gas consumers
  • Conceptualize and develop new hardware + system + digital integrated solutions

  • 2. Product Lifecycle Ownership
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle of products:

  • Ideation → Design → Development → Testing → Launch → Improvement
  • Continuously upgrade existing offerings such as: LPG systems, vaporizers, gas leak detection systems, etc.
  • Ensure products remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with market needs

  • 3. Tech & Engineering Coordination
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors for software development, product design and prototyping
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Drive execution timelines and ensure quality delivery

  • 4. Commercial & Costing Ownership
  • Develop product costing, pricing strategies, and unit economics
  • Ensure products are commercially viable and aligned with business goals
  • Support sales team in structuring customized solutions

  • 5. Sales Enablement & Training
  • Train the sales team on product features, value propositions and use cases
  • Develop sales tools, pitch decks, and technical documentation

  • 6. Marketing & Product Communication
  • Collaborate with marketing to build brochures, catalogs, and product collaterals
  • Clearly communicate product benefits and differentiation
  • Support branding and positioning of new product lines

  • 7. Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage a team of 2–3 members
  • Build a culture of innovation, ownership, and execution excellence
  • Mentor team members and define clear roles and deliverables

  • Experience
  • 5–10 years of experience in:
  • Product management / engineering / technical solutions
  • Industrial products, energy, or engineering companies preferred
  • Experience in building or managing SaaS / digital products is highly desirable
