About this role

We need someone with 5+ years of product marketing experience who has built marketing functions from the ground up in high-growth B2B SaaS environments. You should be comfortable being hands-on as a team of one initially while building toward leading a team of 6+, and have a track record of driving measurable growth through exceptional messaging and go-to-market execution. Bonus points if you have experience with AI products or scientific/technical backgrounds.


What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end product marketing strategy including positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, and go-to-market planning for our platform

  • Take ownership of value messaging and website optimization to drive conversion and clearly communicate our differentiated value proposition

  • Work closely with our fractional CMO and product team to develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for new features and product launches

  • Build and scale the marketing function from a team of one to a robust marketing organization of 6+ people

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from strategy development to execution, collaborating with sales, product, and customer success teams

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to improve lead generation, customer acquisition, and market positioning

Day-to-day example:

You might start your week reviewing user feedback with the product team to refine messaging for an upcoming feature launch, work with our fractional CMO to develop a new competitive positioning framework, and spend time analyzing website performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities. Last month, our team launched a major product update without dedicated marketing support, and the person in this role would have developed the complete go-to-market strategy, messaging framework, and launch plan. This is the kind of 0-to-1 building and hands-on execution you'd thrive in.

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with proven success building marketing functions from scratch in Series A-C stage companies

  • Strong track record of team building - you've successfully hired, developed, and scaled marketing teams while maintaining high performance standards

  • Demonstrated ability to move quickly in fast-paced environments with evidence of rapid scope expansion and career progression

  • Expert-level messaging and positioning skills with experience developing compelling value propositions for B2B SaaS products

  • Hands-on execution mindset - you're comfortable doing IC work while simultaneously building and leading a team

  • Cross-functional collaboration excellence - you can work effectively with product, sales, and leadership teams to drive business outcomes
