  • Media relations, press releases, interviews, plant visits
  • Crisis communication & spokesperson readiness

  • Qualifications
  • Training / Education
  • Must-have: Bachelor’s in Communications/Marketing/Journalism/Business or related field.
  • Nice-to-have: Master’s/MBA in Marketing/Communications/Brand; certifications in Digital Marketing, Content Strategy, or Crisis Communications.
  • Professional Experience
  • Minimum: 12–15 years in PR, Internal and Branding Communication
  • Industry: Mobility/Automotive/Auto Components/Industrial Manufacturing/Engineering or closely related technology sectors.
  • Exposure:
  • Managing communications for both R&D and manufacturing environments.
  • Running integrated brand campaigns and PR at national scale.
  • Experience with crisis/issues communications.
  • Leading employer branding for engineering and operations talent.
  • Building and managing agencies and budgets.
  • Stakeholder management with CXO/MD, functional heads, and global teams.

  • Additional Skills (IT, Languages, etc.)
  • Tools/Platforms:
  • Marketing & Social: LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta, Google Ads, YouTube Studio, Sprout/Hootsuite.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics/GA4, Power BI/Tableau dashboards.
  • Content/Design: MS Office (PowerPoint expert), basic Canva/Adobe CC (nice-to-have).
  • PR Tools: Meltwater/Cision, media database management.
  • Languages: Excellent command of English (written and spoken); Hindi and/or Marathi preferred for plant/regional comms.
  • Other: Strong storytelling; executive presence; data-driven decision making; familiarity with ESG/CSR narratives and policy/regulatory ecosystem in mobility.

  • Preferred Skills
  • Lead a team of 2-4 (mix of internal staff and contractors) across PR, Digital/Social, Content, and Internal Comms.
  • Coach and develop talent; set OKRs; run editorial councils with R&D, HR, Plant Ops, Sales/BD.
  • ~20–30% pan-India (plants, R&D centres, events, media meets).
  • Adherence to safety, data privacy, information security, and IP guidelines.
