Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Purview to join us on a freelance/contract basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on data engineering professional who can design and implement scalable cloud solutions, build enterprise-grade data platforms, and drive strong data governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud solutions on AWS
• Build enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric including lakehouse, analytics, and pipelines
• Implement data governance, cataloging, and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and scalable design patterns
• Mentor engineers and ensure delivery of secure, high-quality code
• Collaborate with business teams, architects, and data stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions
• Support CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Cloud Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Microsoft Purview experience is mandatory
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and .NET
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of scalable architecture, governance, and secure engineering practices.
