Our client, a private equity firm, is looking to engage a Consultant with with strong on-ground sales experience across FMCG, Consumer Durables, or Construction Materials industries.

The ideal candidate should have 10–15 years of experience in field sales, distributor management, and sales force supervision, with a strong understanding of distribution expansion and market execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive distribution sales across assigned territories with strong on-ground market presence.
  • Manage and expand distributor networks, ensuring optimal coverage and sales growth.
  • Lead and supervise sales force teams to achieve primary and secondary sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance, productivity, and market coverage across regions.
  • Strengthen retailer engagement and improve numeric and weighted distribution.
  • Ensure effective implementation of trade schemes, promotions, and retail activations.
  • Track stock movement, inventory levels, and distributor performance metrics.
  • Identify gaps in market coverage and execute corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align supply, demand, and sales execution.

  • Skills Required
  • 10–15 years of experience in FMCG, Consumer Durables, or Construction Materials industry.
  • Strong field sales and distributor management experience.
  • Prior experience as Area Manager / Territory Manager / Distribution Sales Manager preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing sales force and driving territory growth.
  • Strong understanding of on-ground execution, retailer engagement, and trade marketing.
  • Ability to travel extensively and spend significant time in the field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and performance management skills.
