Role Description

Vectorr AI is seeking experienced professionals for the role of Reviews Maps Agent – Fraud & Abuse Investigation.

This role focuses on identifying and investigating fraudulent and abusive activities within user-generated reviews on digital mapping platforms. The position requires strong analytical thinking, investigative judgment, and the ability to analyze multiple data signals to detect patterns of spam, manipulation, and fraud.

The selected candidates will work in a cross-functional environment supporting Trust & Safety initiatives using data-driven approaches and AI/ML-enabled tools. The role involves conducting complex investigations, preparing detailed case reports with evidence-based conclusions, and collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to strengthen platform integrity and user trust.

Engagement Terms
  • Role: Independent Contractor (IC)
  • Location: Secure Clean Room Environment (GOGO / GOVO compliant)
  • Availability Requirement: 35–40 hours per week
  • Compensation: $40–$65 per hour (based on experience and profile)

  • Responsibilities

    Fraud & Abuse Investigation
  • Investigate complex cases involving review abuse, spam, and manipulation
  • Analyze multiple data signals to identify fraudulent patterns and suspicious behavior
  • Conduct open-ended investigations requiring strong analytical judgment

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Use analytical tools to evaluate large datasets and identify abuse patterns
  • Produce detailed case reports with evidence-based conclusions
  • Maintain documentation of investigative findings and insights

  • Trust & Safety Initiatives
  • Support anti-abuse initiatives and internal experiments designed to improve platform integrity
  • Contribute insights that help strengthen detection systems and fraud prevention strategies

  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
  • Provide investigative insights to support platform improvements and enforcement decisions

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Minimum 2+ years handling complex analytical or investigative work
  • Experience in fraud detection, risk assessment, or investigative analysis
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and/or Python
  • Ability to create detailed analytical reports and documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work IST hours (35–40 hours per week)
  • Comfortable working within a secure clean room environment

  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience investigating fraud or abuse on online platforms or digital ecosystems
  • Background in banking, insurance, fintech, or forensic accounting
  • Knowledge of content moderation or policy enforcement frameworks
  • Experience working in ambiguous or open-ended problem spaces
  • Familiarity with AI/ML or Generative AI systems
  • Certifications such as CFE / ACFE are a plus
