Embedded Hardware Engineer – FPGA- Avionics (DO254)

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and skilled FPGA Developers and Test Engineers to join

our Avionics Hardware Development Team. As part of this role, you will be involved

in the design, development, testing, and verification of FPGA-based systems for

safety-critical airborne applications.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design and implement FPGA logic using VHDL/Verilog for avionics subsystems

● Develop testbenches, simulate and debug RTL code using industry-standard

tools

● Perform functional verification of FPGA designs as per DO-254 guidelines

● Support integration and validation of FPGA on hardware platforms (e.g., test

benches, evaluation boards)

● Document design and test artifacts following avionics development standards

● Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills

 Solid understanding of Digital Design, FSMs, timing analysis

 Hands-on experience in HDL (VHDL or Verilog) coding and simulation

 Knowledge of FPGA architectures (Xilinx / Intel / Microsemi preferred)

 Exposure to simulation and synthesis tools such as:

o ModelSim/QuestaSim

o Vivado / Quartus / Libero

o Synplify Pro

 Basic understanding of timing closure, constraints, and clock domain crossing

(CDC)

 Familiarity with scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Shell) is an added advantage

Domain Knowledge

 Exposure to DO-254 process or basic understanding of safety-critical design

lifecycle (preferred)

 Awareness of avionics communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-

1553) is a plus

Qualifications:

 B.E./B.Tech in Electronics / ECE / Electrical / Instrumentation

OR

 M.E./M.Tech in VLSI / Embedded Systems
