Manager – Fleet Management (EV Assets)

Location: India | Multi-city Oversight

Function: Operations / Asset Management

Reporting to: Head of Fleet Management

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned fleet professional to lead end-to-end oversight of leased electric buses and trucks across their lifecycle — from onboarding and performance monitoring to exception management and lease closure.

This role ensures full asset visibility, risk control, and residual value protection for the lessor, while operational responsibility remains with the lessee.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Onboarding & Governance

• Oversee registration, permits, insurance, hypothecation, and documentation readiness
• Ensure telematics installation and system integration
• Coordinate with Legal & Finance on title perfection and go-live triggers

In-Life Performance Monitoring

• Track utilisation, energy efficiency (kWh/km), battery health (SoH), uptime, and downtime
• Identify early warning signals (misuse, over/under-utilisation, degradation trends)
• Ensure adherence to contractual operating norms

Asset Health & Warranty Oversight

• Monitor preventive maintenance, breakdown trends, warranty/AMC claims
• Act as escalation point for OEMs, battery suppliers, and telematics partners

Exception & Risk Management

• Define triggers for usage deviations and performance under-delivery
• Lead corrective action plans and coordinate contractual remedies
• Support Credit & Risk during covenant breaches, restructurings, or renewals

Incident & Claims Management

• Oversee major incidents (accidents, battery events, total loss)
• Coordinate with insurers, OEMs, Legal & Finance for recovery and resolution

Lifecycle & Residual Value Protection

• Support lease extensions, redeployment, and secondary market strategies
• Provide inputs into residual value models and product improvements

Ideal Candidate

• 10–15+ years in fleet/asset management or mobility operations
• Experience with OEMs, warranties, telematics, and large fleet analytics
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen
• Exposure to electric buses/trucks preferred
