Gainsight is hiring for the role of Financial Analyst Intern!

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support statutory compliance requirements, including coordination for audits and preparation of documentation for regulatory filings.
• Assist in direct and indirect tax compliance processes (e.g., data compilation for GST, TDS, and corporate tax filings).
• Maintain and organize financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Controllership, Tax, Legal, and FP&A to gather information and resolve queries.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects, process improvements, and data analysis to enhance reporting efficiency.

Requirements :

• Recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and basic understanding of financial statements.
• Basic understanding of Indian tax concepts (GST, TDS, corporate tax) through coursework or internships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google sheets (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
