Position: Associate (Client or Business Portfolio)

Role Overview

We are seeking capable and driven Chartered Accountants to join our international team in the role of Associate.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the operational work related to your assigned portfolio. Depending on the assignment, this may involve:
  • Client-facing engagements as part of a delivery team, or
  • Internal operational functions supporting Bluebox headquarters.

  • The position involves handling recurring operational tasks, meeting strict deadlines, maintaining high accuracy, and ensuring work aligns with Bluebox’s professional standards under the guidance of a reporting manager.

    Key Responsibilities: Deliver High-Quality Output
  • Execute assigned accounting, tax, payroll, or compliance-related deliverables.
  • Maintain updated records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure all outputs meet Bluebox’s internal quality, documentation, and formatting standards.
  • Identify issues early and collaborate with managers to resolve operational blockers.

  • Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Handle daily bookkeeping activities, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports in line with Singapore accounting standards.
  • Process payroll and ensure timely submission of CPF, GST, and tax filings.
  • Track deliverables across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles using Bluebox internal systems.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Support
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings with authorities such as ACRA, IRAS, and MOM.
  • Prepare working papers, reconciliations, and documentation required for audits and reviews.
  • Stay informed about updates in Singapore’s accounting, tax, and financial regulations.

  • Internal Coordination & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate updates of tasks, deadlines, and progress within internal systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Maintain proper documentation and file organisation so all work is traceable and audit-ready.
  • Escalate risks, delays, or operational challenges to managers in a timely manner.

  • Communication & Client Interaction
  • Communicate professionally with clients (for client-facing roles) and internal stakeholders.
  • Draft clear and structured emails and maintain proper communication logs.
  • Keep managers informed on work progress and ensure transparency in timelines.
  • Participate in review discussions or client meetings when required.

  • Learning & Professional Development
  • Participate in Bluebox’s structured training programs on Singapore laws, accounting standards, and internal operating procedures.
  • Develop an understanding of how different service lines—finance, compliance, HR, and commercial operations—work together.
  • Build capability to eventually manage a client portfolio or internal business function independently.

  • Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant qualification (India) with a minimum of 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in client servicing roles within finance and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end accounting processes, financial reporting, taxation, and audit preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting tools preffered such as Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, particularly within a remote working environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to Singapore’s financial and regulatory framework.

    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Remote
    Salary: Compensation: ₹3,60,000 per annum (Net in-hand).
    This structure reflects the firm’s remote operating model and structured training exposure to Singapore accounting practices.
