Position: Professional Video Editor (Kdenlive)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $30–$100/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

- Edit and deliver high-quality video content using Kdenlive, from raw footage to final export.
- Manage complex multi-layered projects with efficient non-linear editing workflows.
- Implement proxy editing techniques for handling high-resolution and multi-track footage.
- Apply professional color grading and correction to ensure visual consistency and quality.
- Perform accurate audio editing, mixing, and synchronization for broadcast-ready output.
- Optimize rendering and export settings for various platforms while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to align creative direction with technical execution.

Requirements

- Proven hands-on expertise in Kdenlive, including advanced editing features and workflows.
- Strong understanding of non-linear editing, proxy workflows, and multi-track compositing.
- Experience with color grading, audio mixing, and post-production finishing.
- Ability to manage complex editing projects from start to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills for structuring and archiving video projects.
- Passion for staying updated with video editing tools and best practices.
