Role & responsibilities
  • Maintain and continually improve safety standards across the Dadra Manufacturing Plant, ensuring a safe and controlled work environment.
  • Oversee the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures and ensure they are followed in all operational areas.
  • Coordinate with plant and construction teams to integrate safe work practices into ongoing activities and daily operations.
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to enhance employee and contractor safety competency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with statutory regulations, corporate guidelines, and industry safety norms.
  • Perform routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify unsafe conditions and potential risks.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive measures and follow up for timely closure.
  • Issue and verify work permits such as Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, Excavation, and General Work Permits after confirming required safety precautions.
  • Test and review emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and response capabilities at regular intervals.
  • Monitor the condition and readiness of fire hydrants, extinguishers, and other firefighting systems.
  • Enforce mandatory use of PPE and ensure adequate stock availability and proper record maintenance.
  • Ensure safe execution of high-risk tasks such as excavation, working at height, heavy lifting, and confined space operations.
  • Maintain incident/near-miss records and ensure timely reporting and investigation at construction sites & Plant.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduation in fire and safety ,PDIS /ADIS

Minimum years of experience required - 4 years - 8 years
