Job Profile:
Primary deliverable of this role is to ensure EHS compliance for their respective zone, Training, Monitoring & Audit.

Key Responsibilities:
EHS Compliance
  • Visit assigned sites to assess EHSMS compliance and establish protected work methods.
  • Monitor investigation of all EHS incidents , advise preventive actions, and take charge of the concerned zones in case of any emergency or incident.
  • Ensure site safety by identifying high-risk activities in the zone and implementing the work permit system .
  • Understand site activities in advance in order to:
  • Facilitate safe execution of structures by understanding specifications and interacting with structural, design, and execution teams .
    Facilitate better execution by coordinating with Planning Manager / PD / PMH and driving communication to the CM team, contractors, and procurement/contracts department .
  • Amend Lodha EHS policies in the zone as required with approval of the HOD and ensure proper implementation.
  • Encourage compliance with EHS policies and procedures by educating and motivating senior management and associates in the concerned zones.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and medical document verification for contractors and workers.
  • Be responsible for environmental management , identification of rescue agencies, and maintaining cordial relationships with them.
  • Apprise Cell Head and CM Head on monthly EHS statistics .

  • Induction and Training
  • Educate the execution team about safe construction practices such as anchoring, building, etc., with detailed specifications and constructability requirements.
  • Identify training needs , design and conduct training and competency development programs for Lodha staff, contractors, and operators .
  • Ensure that the zero-fatality target is achieved at each site.
  • Monitor implementation of the Corporate EHS policy across the organization.
  • Formulate Corporate EHS strategy and action plans .
  • Ensure that technical assistance is provided to the CM and Commercial teams on work order contracts, amendments, SR & PR of P&E; services, and spare parts .
  • Ensure that best practices are followed across various projects.
  • Identify gaps in the implementation of EHS policies and initiate immediate remedial actions.
  • Interface with Project Heads for various EHS issues and help establish internationally accepted safety practices at sites.

  • Documentation
  • Ensure that legal requirements are updated in a timely manner and communicate the same within the concerned zone.
  • Network with industry forums and government bodies for statutory updates.
  • Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications and upgrade as per standard requirements from time to time.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and medical document verification for contractors and workers.
  • Team Development
  • Develop the EHS team in the assigned zone to expand their knowledge and skills and consistently achieve EHS goals.
  • Focus on team building, management, and striving for operational excellence .
