As an Engagement Manager at AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS), your role involves collaborating with AWS consultants, partner, and client teams to create and execute plans that drive revenue adoption and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector. You will be responsible for achieving engagement goals that deliver customer outcomes by gaining knowledge of the customer environment, expediting stakeholder alignment, and leading engagements aligned with Amazon Leadership Principles. Your key job responsibilities include:

- Driving business outcomes through matrix team management across multiple workstreams using agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies
- Leading complex multi-stream delivery engagements and ensuring the achievement of customer business outcomes
- Proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities for additional value
- Coaching teams and customers on delivery practices
- Partnering with sales support and engineering teams for comprehensive solution delivery

You will also serve as a strategic advisor, providing guidance on agile methodologies, enabling partners through framework adoption, and collaborating across AWS teams to gather and channel customer feedback to improve AWS services. Success in this position requires effective leadership skills, agile expertise, and the ability to drive business outcomes while maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Regarding qualifications, the basic qualifications for this role include hands-on experience delivering enterprise-level IT consulting projects using Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies, working experience with Agile and Project Management best practices, frameworks, methodologies, and tools, as well as experience in technical product or program management. Preferred qualifications include project management certifications, AWS Cloud experience and certifications, experience as a Trusted Advisor, and past experience as a Technical Program Manager leading development projects.
