Job Role: Embedded DRM Security Test Engineer (PlayReady & Widevine) Work Experience: 6 to 15 Years Job Location: Bangalore We are looking for DRM Security Testing Engineer with strong expertise in PlayReady and Widevine validation across embedded and Android-based multimedia platforms. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in DRM automation, secure playback validation, and security-focused test execution. Key Responsibilities: • Design and execute security test strategies for DRM-enabled multimedia platforms • Validate DRM implementations including PlayReady and Widevine (L1/L3) across pre-production and production devices • Develop and maintain automated DRM security test frameworks using pytest or similar tools • Perform content protection, license flow validation, key management verification, and secure playback testing • Analyze DRM failures, logs, crash dumps, and playback issues • Ensure compliance with DRM certification requirements and partner guidelines • Collaborate with development, platform, and customer teams to reproduce and resolve DRM issues • Act as a quality stakeholder to ensure secure content playback and optimal customer experience Required Qualifications: • Strong hands-on experience in DRM security testing including PlayReady and Widevine (L1 / L3) • Experience in DRM automation using pytest or similar frameworks • Proficiency with ADB shell, log analysis, crash debugging, and issue reproduction • Strong understanding of secure video/audio pipelines, codecs, and protected playback flows • Experience validating firmware or middleware on embedded or Android-based platforms • Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with DRM certification testing and compliance processes • Knowledge of secure boot, TEE, key ladders, and trusted execution environments • Understanding of streaming protocols, encryption schemes, and media formats • Experience with consumer electronics devices such as Smart TVs, set-top boxes, or streaming devices • Exposure to Dolby technologies, secure AV sync, or premium content validation
