Editor Needed for Internet Humor YouTube Videos

Full-time

Posted on: 8 days ago

I'm looking for a video editor who actually understands modern internet culture — not someone who just cuts clips and throws random stock memes on screen.

This channel covers current events, internet personalities, controversial topics, and online culture, so the editing style needs to feel like a mix of documentary, commentary, and chaotic internet humor.

If your idea of humor is putting a 2016 meme on screen or using generic sound effects, this job is not for you.

Example/Leading Reference:
Rick's F1 Addiction - Most Recent Videos

What I need:
  • Someone who can find relevant clips, reactions, and memes that match the topic - (Ex. Epstein, Candace Owens, Logan Paul, Andrew Tate, etc)
  • Strong sense of modern internet humor (Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube culture, etc.)
  • Ability to time jokes properly — humor cues matter
  • Good pacing so the video never feels slow
  • Able to pull in funny or ironic clips related to the topic instead of random filler
  • Comfortable editing content about current events, internet drama, public figures, etc.
This is not a basic "cut the footage together" editing job.
The editor needs to think while editing and understand the tone of the internet.

The goal is something similar to meme commentary / style channels where the visuals constantly add context or humor to what's being said.
If you genuinely understand modern internet humor, this will be easy for you.

If you don't, it will probably be frustrating.

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
