We are looking for a detail-oriented Drayage Specialist to manage container transportation from ports to warehouses, rail yards, or customer locations. The ideal candidate should have experience coordinating with carriers, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth and timely drayage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage drayage shipments from ports, rail ramps, and terminals to final destinations.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for container pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams.
• Ensure timely container returns to avoid demurrage and detention charges.
• Communicate with carriers, port terminals, warehouses, and customers.
• Monitor shipment documentation including BOL, POD, and delivery updates.
• Resolve operational issues such as delays, port congestion, or appointment scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments in TMS or logistics software.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of drayage operations and port logistics
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
• Familiarity with TMS systems, spreadsheets, and logistics tools
• Problem-solving and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with US ports, rail ramps, or container shipments
• Knowledge of demurrage, detention, and port appointment systems
• Background in freight brokerage or logistics operations
