Role Overview

Newgen is seeking a senior Payments domain professional to join its Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role will be responsible for shaping the Payments product roadmap, driving AI‑led innovation, and ensuring Newgen’s Payments offerings remain market‑leading and future‑ready. The role combines product strategy, customer engagement, demos, POCs, and RFP ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Payments Domain & Product Leadership

• Act as the Payments SME across Newgen’s Payment Hub and related solutions.
• Drive and influence the Payments product roadmap, aligned to market trends and regulatory changes.
• Provide deep domain inputs on cross‑border payments, domestic rails, SWIFT, ISO 20022, MT/MX, etc.

Market, Trends & Competition

• Track global payments trends (ISO 20022, real‑time payments, cross‑border modernization, embedded FX).
• Perform competitive analysis and define clear differentiation for Newgen.
• Ensure Newgen stays ahead of market and competition.

AI‑Led & Forward Thinking

• Identify and drive AI‑led use cases in Payments (STP, intelligent routing, compliance, exception handling, analytics).
• Work with AI and engineering teams to translate domain needs into scalable capabilities.

Customer Engagement, Demos & POCs

• Lead Payments product demos, workshops, and customer discussions.
• Own POCs—from scoping to success criteria and customer alignment.
• Act as a trusted advisor during strategic customer engagements.

RFPs & Pre‑Sales

• Own and contribute to Payments RFP responses, solution articulation, and compliance mapping.
• Support Sales and Pre‑Sales teams in strategic pursuits.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10+ years in Payments (banking/fintech/product organizations).
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, cross‑border payments, clearing & settlement.
• Experience with product management, demos, POCs, and RFPs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of global trends and compliances such as SEPA, CHAPS, Pesonet, etc.
