Job Description

Responsibilities and key tasks

Patient/Customer Care

1. To ensure administration of Radiation in a safe and prescribed manner.

2. To respect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, visitors and physicians.

Job Knowledge

3. To demonstrate effective application of technical & professional knowledge.

4. To assist consultants in carrying out various imaging procedures including image

guided biopsies, drainage, aspirations.

5. To maintain effective communication and ensure that patient is properly informed

and prepared for test and procedure.

Process Orientation/Documentation

6. To ensure error free routine tests and examinations and record the results in

department registers.

7. To understand and operate the equipments and consoles to perform X-Ray, MRI, CT,

conventional radiology and fluoroscopy procedures.

8. To maintain and upkeep all related equipments of the department used in

Conventional Radiology X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI and Fluoroscopy.

9. To ensure consent form is filled and explained to the patient whenever required by

the doctor.

10.To work with the aim to save environment in all possible ways.

11.To have complete orientation of IMS system of Hospital.

12.To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of

the hospital.

13. Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues &

policies of the respective area.

14. Comply with patient safety policy.

15. To record Log of Incidents for the occupational events , incidents of the department

People Orientation

16. To assist in training of new employees.

17. To train and educate subordinates regarding functioning of all

equipments of the department.

18. To train the junior staff about environment safety protocols.

Cost & Revenue

19. To implement infection control policy & proper waste

20. To ensure minimal wastage of films and repeat examinations and

to ensure that adequate stocks of materials are maintained in the

department.
