Job Overview:

The Dean – Digital Health is a senior academic and administrative leadership role responsible for driving the strategic vision, academic excellence, research innovation, and institutional growth in the domain of digital health. The Dean will lead the development of cutting-edge programs at the intersection of healthcare, technology, data science, and policy, while ensuring high-quality teaching, research, and industry collaboration.

Qualification:

• PhD in Digital Health, Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or a related field

OR

• MD ( Community Medicine / Hospital Administration) with significant experience in digital health, health informatics, or health-tech innovation

Required Skills:

• Strong academic vision with a focus on digital transformation in healthcare.
• Proven leadership in program development, faculty management, and interdisciplinary research
• Expertise in digital health ecosystems including health informatics, AI in healthcare, telemedicine, and data analytics
• Experience in accreditation, regulatory frameworks, and institutional governance
• Strong stakeholder engagement with industry, government, and global health organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Development:

• Provide strategic direction for academic programs in digital health, health informatics, AI in healthcare, and health data science
• Lead curriculum design integrating emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, telemedicine, and electronic health records (EHR)
• Ensure academic quality through accreditation, benchmarking, and continuous innovation
• Promote interdisciplinary learning across healthcare, engineering, data science, and policy.

Research & Innovation:

• Drive high-impact research in digital health, including AI in healthcare, health analytics, telehealth, and precision medicine
• Secure research grants through collaborations with government bodies, global health organizations, and the private sector
• Establish Centres of Excellence in areas such as Digital Health Innovation, Health Informatics, and Smart Healthcare Systems
• Encourage commercialization of research, patents, and health-tech startups

Faculty Development & Student Engagement:

• Recruit and mentor faculty with expertise in digital health, data science, and healthcare innovation
• Promote continuous learning, global collaborations, and faculty exchange programs
• Enhance student engagement through live projects, hackathons, internships, and industry immersion
• Foster entrepreneurship and incubation in health-tech startups.

Industry & Institutional Collaboration:

• Build strategic partnerships with health-tech companies, hospitals, startups, and government agencies.
• Develop MoUs with global universities and digital health ecosystems
• Create advisory boards comprising leaders from healthcare, technology, and policy sectors
• Expand executive education and certification programs in digital health.

Administrative & Financial Management:

• Oversee budgeting, infrastructure development, and digital ecosystem investments
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and relevant digital health standards
• Lead digital transformation initiatives including smart campuses, e-learning platforms, and simulation labs
• Drive operational efficiency through technology-enabled governance.

Community Engagement & Public Relations:

• Represent the institution at global digital health forums, conferences, and policy platforms
• Organize conferences, workshops, and innovation challenges in digital health
• Lead initiatives in public health digitization, telemedicine outreach, and community health programs
• Promote the institution as a thought leader in digital health education and innovation.

Preferred Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in academia, research, or leadership roles in digital health / healthcare innovation.
