Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Technology – Data Product/Solutions Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of data-driven solutions/product for the BFSI ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, analytics, product thinking, and technical solution design — working closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate complex financial use cases into scalable data-powered solutions comprising underwriting, risk, valuation, compliance, and decision intelligence for financial institutions.

You will lead the design and work alongside Engineering/Analysts to drive execution and solution delivery, while identifying opportunities to convert client-driven solutions into reusable products and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Product/Solution Ownership & Delivery used by banks, NBFCs, and fintechs for real financial decisions
• Lead end-to-end delivery of data-backed solutions for BFSI clients — from requirement discovery through implementation, validation, and rollout.
• Work closely with business, solution, and engineering teams to translate underwriting, risk, valuation, compliance, and decision intelligence needs into practical solution designs.
• Drive roadmap execution for data platforms supporting credit risk, fraud, pricing, portfolio analytics, and reporting
• Drive structured problem-solving and ensure timely delivery of scalable and reliable solutions.
• Productization & Platform Evolution:
• Identify recurring patterns across client engagements and propose opportunities for reusable data services, workflows, and product capabilities.
• Contribute to defining roadmap priorities by aligning delivery insights with long-term product vision.
• Identify emerging opportunities in the open-data ecosystem and translate them into a multi-quarter product roadmap for BFSI
• Data Solution Design (Collaborative):
• Define data workflows, integration approaches, and solution structures in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Ensure data quality, governance awareness, and compliance considerations are incorporated into solution delivery.
• Work with engineering teams to integrate structured and unstructured data sources including BFSI systems, third-party APIs, and geospatial datasets where applicable.
• Develop and maintain efficient schemas, data models, and pipelines to support analytical and transactional use cases
• Lead ETL development, orchestration, and performance tuning for large-scale financial datasets
• Metadata Management: Managing metadata to provide context and meaning to data assets, enhancing data usability.
• Data Mapping: Creating data mapping documents to outline the relationships and transformations between various data sources.
• Indexing: Implementing indexing strategies to enhance data retrieval performance and query efficiency.

Skills & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in data-driven solution delivery, technical business analysis, or technology project leadership — ideally within BFSI or fintech.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, APIs, and analytics-driven workflows.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and business domains.
• Familiarity with data integration concepts, data modeling principles, and scalable solution architectures.
• Exposure to geospatial or location intelligence solutions is a plus.
• Excellent communication, structured thinking, and presentation skills
