Job Title: Core PHP / WordPress (Backend) Developer

1. Overview: As a Core PHP / WordPress Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing server-side components for web applications. Your role will involve working closely with front-end developers and designers to ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The objective is to create robust and scalable web solutions that enhance our digital presence and meet user needs.

2. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality PHP applications and scripts.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs to connect backend services with frontend applications.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Maintain database structure using MySQL, ensuring data integrity and security.

3. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in PHP, with a deep understanding of its frameworks and libraries.

• Strong experience with WordPress development, including custom plugin and theme development.

• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.

• Excellent understanding of MySQL database design and management.

• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.

4. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in PHP and WordPress backend development.

• Proven experience working with REST APIs and MySQL databases.

5. Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in PHP development, including object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Demonstrated experience in creating and integrating RESTful APIs for web applications.

• Solid understanding of MySQL database management, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
