Job Description

Content & Social Media, Centre of Excellence

(Manager / Senior Associate)

Role Structure: ~70% Creator Development (Centre of Excellence) | ~30% Content & Social Media (Marketing)

The Short Version

Who we’re looking for: A hands-on content creator and social media professional who understands how great content works and is excited about helping build the next generation of creators. You should enjoy being on camera, understand what makes people stop scrolling, and be energized by helping others sharpen their creative instincts.

What the role is about: This is a create + teach + scale role. About 70% of your time will go into turning your creator instincts into frameworks, projects, and mentorship that help people create great content. The remaining 30% of your time will be spent creating content for Kraftshala - scripting, shooting, editing, and experimenting with formats that grow our brand and reach new audiences.

Why you should apply: You’ll get the opportunity to:
  • Build real brand growth while shaping the next generation of content creators
  • Multiply your creative thinking through hundreds of students entering the industry
  • Turn your content instincts into scalable frameworks and playbooks
  • Work at the intersection of culture, education, and business outcomes

  • About us: Kraftshala is India’s largest higher-education institution in terms of marketing placements, with a 94% placement rate, and we are gunning to become the world’s largest career launchpad, across domains.

We’re backed by a number of eminent investors including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs of global giants like RedBus, NoBroker, Nestlé, and Performics.

    The Detailed Version

The Content & Social Media, Centre of Excellence role sits at the intersection of brand growth, creator culture, and career outcomes. You will be responsible for growing Kraftshala’s social presence through high-quality, culturally relevant content while ensuring students are trained in real-world content creation and social media skills that translate into jobs.

A key part of this role is multiplying your creative thinking through others. Instead of only creating content yourself, you’ll help build a system that produces industry-ready content and social media professionals year after year.

    Responsibilities & Metrics

Creator Development & Centre of Excellence (70%)
  • Help students create great content. Build frameworks that help students think like creators. Break down how great content works - storytelling, hooks, pacing, cultural insight, and narrative structures - and translate those instincts into practical learning frameworks.
  • Design hands-on projects that mimic the real internet. Create assignments where students develop reels, campaigns, and content strategies similar to real-world brand work.
  • Mentor students as they develop their creative instincts. Help students refine their thinking about what works, what doesn’t, and how to create content that people genuinely want to watch.
  • Collaborate with industry creators and experts. Work with external experts from brands, agencies, and the creator ecosystem to ensure students learn what is currently working in the industry.
  • Run live sessions and workshops for student cohorts. Deliver engaging sessions that break down content frameworks, platform mechanics, and practical case studies.
  • Continuously evolve the program based on industry trends. Track platform shifts, creator economy trends, and brand strategies to keep the curriculum relevant.
  • Contribute to innovation and new product development. Support experimentation with new learning formats and creator-led programs.

  • Content Creation & Social Media (30%)
  • Own Kraftshala’s content and social media strategy across platforms, aligned with brand and enrollment goals.
  • Strategize, script, shoot, and drive visibility for short-form and long-form content, including reels, posts, brand ads, and narrative-led videos.
  • Act as on-camera talent and own shoot setups, including scripting, framing, tone, and delivery.
  • Own edit plans end-to-end, including pacing, music, narrative structure, and visual tone.
  • Collaborate with marketing, admissions, and academic teams to experiment with new formats, tools, and channels.

  • Monthly Outcomes
  • Month 1: Understand Kraftshala’s brand, students, curriculum, and content ecosystem. Begin producing content while observing training sessions and auditing existing curriculum and social performance.
  • Month 2: Consistently ship high-quality content. Begin upgrading training modules, projects, and session formats while mentoring students more actively.
  • Month 3+: Own content strategy and creator development outcomes end-to-end. Demonstrate clear impact on brand growth, student engagement, and portfolio quality while building scalable frameworks.

  • Top Grading (What Great Looks Like)
  • Ownership & Accountability: An A-Player takes full ownership of content, training, and outcomes without needing follow-ups, whereas a B-Player executes tasks but waits for direction when challenges arise.
  • Creative Judgment: An A-Player produces culturally relevant, insight-led content that stands out, whereas a B-Player relies mainly on templates or trends without depth.
  • Student Impact Mindset: An A-Player designs learning experiences that translate into real industry readiness and placement outcomes, whereas a B-Player focuses only on session delivery.
  • Execution Discipline: An A-Player consistently ships high-quality work while managing multiple stakeholders, whereas a B-Player struggles with consistency under pressure.
  • Learning & Adaptability: An A-Player actively experiments with new tools, formats, and platforms, whereas a B-Player sticks primarily to familiar methods.

  • Must Haves
  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience in content creation and/or social media roles with demonstrated ability to strategise, script, shoot, and drive visibility for content
  • An active content presence on at least one platform (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, blogs, Substack, or similar). Applicants should regularly publish content that reflects their thinking and creativity.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Deep interest in culture, storytelling, and how people consume content
  • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and enabling others to grow
  • Comfort with working independently, meeting deadlines, and owning outcomes

  • Good to Haves
  • Experience with video editing tools
  • Familiarity with AI-powered content creation tools
  • Prior experience mentoring, teaching, or leading creative teams

  • Selection Process

Each conversation with us will last about 30–60 minutes and will allow us to get to know each other well.
  • Setting Expectations: A call to understand your profile briefly and share details of the selection process.
  • Technical Exercise: A role-relevant assessment designed to evaluate your fit.
  • Conversation 1: A detailed conversation with our Co-Founder & Head, Centre of Excellence, discussing the technical exercise and role competencies.
  • Conversation 2: A conversation with our Head of Marketing to further evaluate role fitment
  • Conversation 3: A conversation with our CEO to ensure alignment with the Kraftshala Kode.
  • Extending an Offer: If all goes well, we will extend an offer with the relevant details.
