CMDB Analyst - ServiceNow Platform

As a CMDB Management Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of CMDB data by implementing best practices and standards.
- Regularly auditing and reconciling CMDB data to maintain up-to-date and accurate information.

In the area of Discovery and Service Mapping, you will:

- Collaborate with support teams to ensure the Discovery tool has appropriate access and permissions to capture configuration information.
- Administer the ServiceNow Service Mapping/Discovery tool on a daily basis, mapping additional defined business services and updating discovery configurations for deeper network penetration.
- Work with the CMDB Administrator to develop and maintain the technical design of the ServiceNow CMDB to support Incident Management, Change Management, and Asset Management processes effectively.
- Implement data governance through identification rules and configuration of multiple discovery sources for populating the CMDB.
- Optimize discovery, tailor patterns, and validate discovery results while troubleshooting as needed.
- Address and resolve Service Mapping issues with support teams to ensure proper functionality.
- Create and maintain Service Mapping-related documentation consistent with other methods of populating the CMDB.

In the general/administrative domain, you will:

- Support tasks related to implementing the ServiceNow application.
- Document procedures for discovery and configuration management functions.
- Assist in developing, modifying, and configuring reports, dashboards, and outputs associated with change, configuration, discovery, and mapping functions.

For this role, the qualifications required are:

- Over 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow.
- 3+ years of experience in implementing, administering, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery and additional discovery tools.
- Solid understanding of Configuration Management practices and principles.
- Experience in implementing ServiceNow Service Mapping.
- ITIL foundations certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) to interact effectively with various levels of the organization.
- Ability to work under accelerated deadlines independently.
- Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with good interpersonal skills.
