Mid-level Cloud and Data Center Architect is a key technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud and data center solutions. This position combines a strong understanding of cloud technologies, data center infrastructure, and architectural principles to create scalable, secure, and efficient environments. The Cloud and Data Center Architect collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver robust solutions that align with business objectives.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Cloud Services: Deploy and manage cloud-based services, virtual machines, storage accounts, file shares, backup & recovery using MABS, Azure DevOps, Azure Local. Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud architecture/governance, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Infrastructure Support - Provide day-to-day operational support for cloud and data center infrastructure, including Windows and Linux server administration, storage provisioning, and virtualization. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, availability, and connectivity.
  • Capacity Planning and Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring resource utilization, performance metrics, and capacity planning for cloud and data center infrastructure. Identify optimization opportunities, recommend hardware or software upgrades, and implement scaling strategies to ensure optimal resource allocation and performance.
  • Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Participate in incident response activities, including identifying, investigating, and resolving issues that impact cloud and data center services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents, minimize service disruptions, and document root cause analysis.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application owners/developers, system administrators, network engineers, and security teams, to support application deployments, system integrations, and infrastructure projects. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, incident resolution, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate documentation of cloud and data center configurations, processes, and procedures. Contribute to knowledge management initiatives by creating and updating technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and best practice recommendations.

  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in cloud computing, data center operations or infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Virtualization technologies
  • Familiarity with data center architecture, networking, storage systems, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) are a plus.
