Role & Responsibilities
  • Teach beginner and early-intermediate chess to children starting from 6 to 16 years through live online sessions.
  • Explain chess concepts clearly using simple language, examples, and activities.
  • Build strong fundamentals such as:
  • Piece movement
  • Basic tactics
  • Opening principles
  • Check, checkmate, and endgame basics
  • Create a friendly, patient, and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Engage students using puzzles, mini-games, and interactive discussions.
  • Conduct demo sessions to help parents understand the learning approach.
  • Take group and one-on-one classes based on comfort and availability.
  • Track student progress and share basic feedback when required.

  • Chess Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of chess fundamentals.
  • Ability to teach absolute beginners patiently and clearly.
  • Comfort explaining concepts multiple times in different ways.
  • Interest in helping children enjoy and stick with chess.
  • Prior coaching or tournament experience is a plus, not a requirement.

  • Communication & Teaching Fit
  • Good spoken English
  • Calm, friendly, and empathetic communication style.
  • Ability to engage young learners in an online setting.
  • Willingness to learn and follow TalentGums structured curriculum and training.

Prior formal teaching experience is not mandatory. Training and lesson plans will be provided.
