Job Title Catastrophe Modeling & Vendor Operations Specialist (Cat Modeling) Job Summary Responsible for operationally supporting and overseeing catastrophe (cat) modeling activities for vendor model operations. This role requires modeling experience (model runs, validation, scenario analysis) with vendor and process management tasks (onboarding/offboarding, SLA/TAT monitoring, SOP governance, and change testing) to ensure timely, accurate, and auditable model outputs for underwriting, pricing, portfolio management, and reinsurance decisions. Key Responsibilities: Cat Modeling Development & Validation Experience Requires a solid conceptual understanding of catastrophe modeling (hazard, exposure, vulnerability, financial modules) to interpret and support our vendor partners.. Vendor Operations (Vendor Ops) Onboard and offboard vendor staff and vendor‑facing resources; ensure access, training, and documentation are in place for vendor-run activities. Coordinate communications related to model downtime, vendor maintenance/upgrades, new tool deployments, and process changes with internal stakeholders. Review and validate vendor-provided TAT and SLA metrics for model runs and deliverables; identify and escalate gaps. Monitor run performance and identify themes/anomalies in TAT/SLA delivery; work with vendors to implement corrective actions and coaching where needed. Manage change requests and process changes; ensure testing, AHT impact, and stakeholder sign‑off are completed. Maintain and attest SOPs ; manage version control and publish updates after deployment. Gather workflow specifications and coordinate stakeholder engagement for process or integration changes; lead workflow change testing and acceptance. Continuous Improvement & Strategy Conduct benchmarking reviews of vendor performance, model run efficiency, and modeling methodologies.
