Job Summary

The Carpenter Supervisor is responsible for overseeing carpentry work related to retail shopfitting, fixtures manufacturing, and store installations. The role involves supervising carpenters, ensuring quality workmanship, meeting project timelines, and maintaining safety standards during production and site installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide carpenters and helpers in the fabrication and installation of retail fixtures, furniture, and shopfitting components.
• Interpret technical drawings, layout plans, and production specifications to ensure accurate execution.
• Allocate daily tasks to carpentry teams and monitor progress against project timelines.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained for all woodwork, laminations, and finishing.
• Coordinate with production, design, and installation teams for smooth project execution.
• Monitor material usage and reduce wastage of wood, laminates, hardware, and other materials.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of carpentry tools and machinery.
• Conduct on-site supervision during retail store installations when required.
• Maintain workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Train junior carpenters and helpers to improve skill levels and productivity.
• Report daily production updates and issues to the Production Manager.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, joinery, and furniture construction.
• Experience in retail fixtures, modular furniture, and shopfitting works.
• Ability to read technical drawings and shop drawings.
• Good team supervision and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of materials like plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware fittings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving and quality control skills.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Carpentry, Wood Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in carpentry or shop fitting industry.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Pay: ₹33,857.17 - ₹42,327.32 per month
