Your Role

You will own and drive the card-payments agenda for our India neobank, building strong partnerships across the ecosystem (schemes, processor, ACS, manufacturers) and leading critical initiatives from certification to product rollout. You’ll act as the go-to expert for scheme rules, market requirements and approval-rate performance, working closely with product, tech, risk, compliance and operations to launch and scale card and digital payment capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with key Indian card ecosystem stakeholders (NPCI/RuPay, Visa, processors, ACS providers, card manufacturers)
  • Lead scheme-driven strategic projects end-to-end, including certifications and implementations for card and digital payment solutions
  • Drive the introduction and rollout of new card functionalities and scheme programs from concept through production
  • Own approval-rate performance: monitor authorisation trends, identify decline drivers and lead initiatives to reduce declines and improve customer experience
  • Manage delivery with processors and ACS providers: coordinate integrations, timelines, testing, go-lives and post-launch optimisation
  • Serve as an internal SME on India card rules and scheme requirements, translating them into actionable product/tech deliverables
  • Partner cross-functionally (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Ops) to ensure market readiness, scheme compliance and operational excellence

  • Who You Are
  • A proactive owner who drives outcomes across multiple stakeholders and moving parts
  • Comfortable influencing external partners and internal leadership with clarity and data
  • Detail-oriented on scheme rules and certification requirements, without losing sight of customer impact
  • Calm under pressure and able to deliver against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Naturally collaborative - energised by cross-functional teamwork

  • Your Experience
  • Strong knowledge of card payments: interchange/fees, end-to-end transaction lifecycle, 3DS/authentication flows and approval-rate optimisation
  • Hands-on experience working with international schemes and Indian ecosystem players (e.g., Visa, NPCI/RuPay) and processing companies
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stream projects (integration, certification, launch) with external vendors/partners
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical teams, business counterparts and senior management

  • What We Are Offering
  • Competitive salary (negotiable depending on level)
  • Share options
  • Start-up environment with a growing benefits package
