About OptimaStride AI

OptimaStride’s product is a strategy execution platform built to close the gap between executive vision and day-to-day action.

We are in active product development and growing fast. This role is critical to ensure the platform’s KPI framework is both rigorous and practical for the organizations we serve.

The Role

As our Business Systems Analyst (KPIs & Integrations) you will own two things: the quality of our KPI content and the reliability of our third-party data integrations. You will use AI-assisted research to build scalable KPI libraries across business domains, write integration specifications that engineering can ship, and validate that end-to-end data flow works for real users.

You will work closely with Product and Engineering and be the primary point of contact for KPI templates, integration mappings, and UAT/validation.

Key Responsibilities

1 — Domain KPI Research & Template Library
  • Research and document best-practice KPIs for 6 core domains: Financial, Customer, Product, Operations, People, Security
  • Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to accelerate research and generate first drafts of KPI definitions, formulas, and benchmarks
  • Build a structured KPI template library with clear metadata: name, definition, formula/logic, data source, update frequency, health thresholds/targets
  • Validate templates against industry standards (OKR frameworks, COSO, Balanced Scorecard) and real-world operator feedback
  • Maintain and version the library as the product evolves

  • 2 — Third-Party Integration Specifications
  • Map KPI data requirements to available fields in source systems: Salesforce, Jira, HubSpot, Google Analytics, QuickBooks, and others
  • Write clearly, engineer-ready integration specs including API endpoints, authentication method, field mappings, sync frequency, accuracy checks, and error handling
  • Coordinate with the engineering team during build, answer clarifying questions, and validate field mappings and data outputs for accuracy
  • Document integration setup guides for end users and the support team

  • 3 — User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Design UAT test plans for each integration and KPI template release
  • Execute test cases across role personas: CEO, VP, Manager, Individual Contributor
  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps and severity ratings; track to resolution and re-test fixes
  • Conduct structured UAT sessions with 2–5 pilot customers per release cycle (as needed)
  • Synthesize feedback into prioritized product improvement recommendations

  • What Great Looks Like

    In the first 30 days…
  • You have audited our existing KPI library and flagged gaps across all 6 domains
  • You have mapped 3 priority integrations (Salesforce, Jira, HubSpot) to KPI data requirements
  • You have reviewed the current UAT process and proposed improvements

  • In the first 90 days…
  • You have published a v1 KPI template library covering all 6 domains with at least 10 KPIs per domain
  • Engineering has shipped 2 integrations based on your specifications with zero critical data-accuracy bugs
  • You have completed a full UAT cycle with 3 pilot customers and delivered a written feedback report

  • Requirements

    You must have
  • 3–5 years in a Business Systems / RevOps / Product Ops / Analytics / BI / Implementation / BA role
  • Hands-on experience with at least one CRM or project management tool (Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into structured written specifications
  • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and data analysis (Excel or Google Sheets at power-user level)
  • Excellent written communication — you can write clearly for both executive and engineering audiences
  • UAT/testing mindset: test plans, defect logging, validation and re-testing

  • Nice to have
  • Experience writing API integration specs or working alongside engineering on data pipelines
  • Familiarity with OKR methodologies (Objectives and Key Results frameworks)
  • SQL proficiency for direct data validation
  • Experience running structured user research or UAT sessions
  • Prior work at a SaaS startup in a product, operations, or strategy function

  • Working at OptimaStride AI
  • Remote / Hybrid working arrangements
  • Direct access to the founding team and meaningful influence over the product
  • Fast feedback cycles — work you ship goes into the hands of real users quickly
  • A culture that values clarity, ownership, and learning over process for its own sake
  • Competitive compensation with equity participation
